A self-proclaimed connoisseur of all things food and beer, Rich has a proven eye for a detail and the taste buds to match. He did start working in restaurants at the age of 15 after all.
Before founding Central Kitchen, Rich spent 14 years with NYPD Pizza, where he initially served as the chief operating officer (COO) and then subsequently became the chief executive officer (CEO) in 2007.
Prior to joining NYPD Pizza, Rich spent 21 years with companies ranging from Fortune 500 to start up. Highlights include 11 years in marketing and franchising with companies such as the Roy Rogers Division of Marriott Corp, the vice president of franchising for Sbarro and the founding COO of an 18-unit regional food court concept called Soupmasters International.
Rich earned his MBA from the Colgate Darden School at the University of Virginia and received his bachelor’s degree with honors from the University of Maryland.
